Heart Health

Keep on Ticking…!

February is our heart health awareness month. We are always working with patients on their road to optimal health, and the heart is obviously one of the most important things to take care of. Whether you know it or not, we are helping your heart work better no matter what we are treating. Yes, there are specific supplements designed to help your heart work better, but there are a lot of other things that do this as well. Helping all of your other systems work efficiently will take the workload off of the heart; and supplementing any vitamin or mineral that helps your muscles will help as well, because your heart is also a muscle. Of course, one of the most important things is always chiropractic care! When you get adjusted, we are improving the nerve communication throughout the entire body in order to improve function. The nerves that control your heart start in your neck and upper back, so to have a healthy heart, we have to reduce the interference of the nerves in these areas. These areas are commonly irritated by bad posture, so while you are sitting at your computer all day or staring at your phone, you are directly having a negative neurologic effect on your heart. Lifestyle, diet, exercise, supplements, and chiropractic care are all essential in having your heart work at its best and to have your whole body continue its road to optimal health. We are always perfecting new techniques and protocols to help care for you more efficiently and effectively; and now we have new supplements specifically designed for the heart- including blood flow, blood pressure, cholesterol, and stress management. As the temperatures drop, our bodies work harder and are less efficient, so we need added support. This isn’t limited to the heart however- we find ourselves in the middle of a cold/flu season in addition to the pandemic Coronavirus; so, make sure you are doing all you can to keep your heart working, boost your immune system, and continue your supplement regimens for overall wellness (and get adjusted regularly!). If you don’t know where to start, that’s where we come in! Ask today about how you can evolve your wellness program to keep your heart healthy, your immune system boosted, and get a good baseline of what you should be doing to keep your body working at its best!

Yours in health,
