Thankful

A Letter of Thanks

It is the season to begin taking time to reflect on what was a whirlwind of a year; one that definitely seemed to fly by fast! It has been both fun and challenging to navigate everything happening in healthcare, and I am truly thankful for all our OHZ family and am very blessed to be able to do what I do for everyone. We have had some great results with our care over the past year! As you reflect on your year, always keep the focus on the positives. The progress you’ve made with your health, the changes you have made to your lifestyle, and all the great interactions you’ve had with others. It is normal for there to be a few negatives that have happened, but as clichéd as it sounds, those are the things to learn from; especially as it pertains to your health. Those moments when a moment of adversity arises, I always talk about the Stop, Challenge, and Choose method. If a negative trigger presents itself, take a deep breath and don’t act right away; challenge yourself to decide on the ideal outcome; and choose which response will be optimal in getting you to the desired result. This can be applied to a highly-intense stressful situation, or as simple as deciding between eating a burger or a salad. The more positive choices we make, the more positively we continue to affect our health. I am very thankful for our continued growth here at OHZ. The highest compliment I receive is when our patients refer their family and friends. I love being able to help as many people as possible, and there is nothing I’m more thankful for than all of our patients. I hope you are like me and choose to focus on all the great things to be thankful for this holiday season, and I wish everyone the best in their continued endeavors towards health and prosperity.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours in health,

Dr. J.
